Time for another Scripture Plan! With so many great treasures in the Bible it was difficult to decide what book or theme to begin with, but I’ve decided to look at themes in the epistles of the New Testament and the theme of Faith in the Letter to the Hebrews seemed like a good place to start. This 30-Day Hebrews Scripture Plan guides you through the letter to the Hebrews, focusing on who Jesus is, why we should put our faith in him, and how we should live according to this faith.

Letter to the Hebrews
When I decided to start my series of Scripture Plans on New Testament Epistles with the Letter to the Hebrews I realised that I have not studied the letter as a whole for some time – if at all, either in my person study or as part of a group. I have read through it, and studied various passages and verses but not worked through the whole letter.
As I read through the letter and studied its content I wondered why this was so!
It’s all about faith!
The letter is all about faith in Jesus Christ, why we should place our faith in him, and how we should live our lives. Seems like a great letter for Christians to read!
There are many great verses about faith, including the famous Chapter 11, which gives examples of faithful characters in the Old Testament. But throughout the letter, the author’s main point is to explain that faith in Christ is better than any other.
The 1st Century Jews were not like us!
The letter was written to 1st Century Jewish Christians who were struggling in their new faith and considering returning to their Jewish traditions, including blood sacrifices.
These practices are completely unfamiliar to us today, which may be why I have not given too much time to studying this letter before. However, the words the author uses to persuade these Jewish Christians that faith in Christ is better than the faith they previously held can also be used to persuade us that faith in Christ is better than anything else we might put our faith in.
So, if you are like me: only familiar with a few verses and chapters of Hebrews, but not the whole picture, then I’d love you to join me in reading through the whole letter using my Hebrews Bible Reading Plan.
30 Days in Hebrews
I have divided the Letter to the Hebrews into 30 short readings, with a heading for each day to help you focus on the theme for the day. You can download the plan using the form below.
Alternatively, you can also purchase my Guided Study and Workbook, which includes a summary, highlighted verses or a list of comparisons – comparisons are frequent in Hebrews. I’ve also chosen to use a fill-in-the-blanks method to help you focus on certain words and themes in the readings.
The readings and exercises for each day should not take too long – the aim is to focus your reading, not mentally task you!
I hope you are blessed and encouraged through the Hebrews Reading Plan. I would love to hear your comments. Have you studied Hebrews before?
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Karen for this timely post! I love the printable. Hebrews is one of my favorite books and I was just thinking recently about doing a study in Hebrews, again. This is perfect! When I was in the 3rd grade our teacher had us memorize chapter 11 of Hebrews. It has become my favorite book of the Bible. I can still recite much of it today. Pinned. Thanks for linking up at InstaEncouragements!
Thanks, Patsy! I hope you are as blessed through reading this study as I was writing it! Hebrews is a great letter.
